Praia do Forte is located at the North coast of Bahia, 80 Km from Salvador. The locality became famous for its biodiversity, including sea turtles, whales, dolphins and several species of birds and mammals.

The small fisher village were discovered by environmentalists in the 70ies and became an important point of ecotourism.

 

After visiting the main attractions at Praia do Forte (mainly the TAMAR Project and Castelo Garcia D’Ávila) we continue to Guarajuba or Imbassay for lunch at the beach. The restaurants on the north coast offer traditional gastronomy, such as moqueca, mariscada and other modalities of fishes.
